Hi Kathleen,

Just a quick update on Sumo. After finally venturing out of the crate, he's doing great so far. Using his litter pan very nicely after we adjusted its position in the room a little per his apparent preferences. He's following the kids around, grunts appreciatively when they visit him, and rolls over with very little effort for tummy rubs. He doesn't seem to mind his harness but isn't going for being picked up yet at all (we're working on it). I'm surprised also how unafraid he is of the dog--they're doing well with supervision--Vasco (the dog) is quite fascinated but gets a little over-excited. Anyway, he seems to be doing really well. Will keep you posted & send a picture later.

Thanks,

Jan

Hi Kathleen,

We meant to write sooner and to send a picture as promised, but our scanner is not working so the picture will still have to wait. Sumo is doing great. Thanks for the help with teaching him to be carried. As much as he objected at first, he's realized now that it's not such a bad thing. He knows how to sit, spin around, and just in time for New Years how to honk a horn. He's very cute and loveable and loves to cuddle and take naps with the kids. Vasco the dog is his buddy and they go outside together now to go potty and root in the rooting box together. He had a bit of regression with his potty training after he decided he was too mature for his litter box. Now that he's braving the snow to go outside he's a much happier pig (and has had no more accidents which in turn makes us a much happier pig-loving family). Next, I guess will be snow-boarding lessons...
Thanks for a great addition to the family and we'll keep you posted.

Jan
