I think only those who have had these extraordinary animals can really know how precious and special a pig can be. My Sarah Lee Poundcake, aka Pigger, was born February 2, 1992. I owned a home and she was given her own room – that also helped with the territory issues! The dogs were not allowed in her room but everyone was allowed in the rest of the house.
On August 15, 2003, I arrived home from work to find Sarah in her room on her bed. She’d died in her sleep. Even now more than a year later, it wrenches my heart. She was a brat, a love and the best pet. Sarah reminded me of a 2-3 year old child. The hardest part of her passing was how quiet the house became. She’d always grunt with each step and if she didn’t find me, I’d hear a low growl followed by a high pitched whine. Sarah’s range of vocalizations enabled a communication that even included “I love you.” Family and friends all enjoyed her. Sarah is sorely missed.

I hope to contact you one day when I ‘m ready for another pig. Right now, I’d be worried I’d be looking for my Sarah. I’m glad there is a breeder out there of your reputation and experience. Your web site is wonderful.

All the best,
