Hello Kathleen,It was very comforting to find your site, today. I just recently lost the joy of my life....my sweet Emily Pearl. I can't have children, and she was my adopted little love. I had been to visit my friend, and when I returned, she was missing. The gates were still shut, and I couldn't see how she could have gotten out of her yard. I found her the next day, and found out she had been hit by an 18-wheeler. She had rolled down an embankment, and that is where I found her. I pray it was an instant death...the thought of her wanting her mommy, and me not being there is heartwrenching. I can't seem to grieve enough...the pain won't cry out. The highway dept. was very sweet, and came to bury her right there....they were very respectful and let me put the quilt her Nana had made her...with her name on it....on her body. We put roses on the site.
Emily was my first pig. She spent her first year in the house with me. After moving into her new large yard, we looked forward to our daily nap inside the house. She could do many tricks, and gave great kisses. I loved her so much, and she touched many other people's hearts, too.
Information for our little friends is hard to find.
