 Can you hear me singing?
I'm a singing pinto pig.
My name is little Gretel
But my songs are very big.
I'm singing 'cause it's Christmas
a favorite time of year
and if you listen really close
these are the sounds you'll hear.
Twinkling stars up in the heavens on rich black velvet skies.
Winds so cold they chill you making your warm eyes cry.
Sounds of love and laughter fill the houses nearby.
People rushing here and there with presents yet to buy.

It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A favorite time of year.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A people time, so dear.
Candles glow so brightly lit by the love inside.
You'll see wreaths adorning front doors on all that you drive by.
And barns are made real comfy for the animals that dwell
because all life is sacred so the Christmas Story tells.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A favorite time of year.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A special time, so dear.
The animals will gather to search the sky above,
looking for the fabled star sent down from God with love.
Music fills the air now and hearts sing out with joy,
because in a barn long ago was born a little boy.
The Story says He came here as a gift to man that day,
but animals know different for He lied with them in hay.
He came to show the world here that love forgives us all,
the creatures and the people who gathered by His stall.

It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A favorite time of year.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
For animals, so dear.

The donkeys and the cattle with heads bowed down in praise,
Angels filled the heavens as sheep stood by to graze.
People wept with gladness for His birth was long foretold
The boy was born so all would know the truths that life can hold.
So, gather all, ye creatures to sing with me today.
Christmas needs no rushing to give it rightful praise.
Gather all, ye creatures give thought to this instead,
God sent down His gift of love and laid Him in a manger bed.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A favorite time of year.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
For animals, so dear.
Give of yourself to all who breathe on this fine Christmas day,
make the barns real comfy and gather in the hay.
Remember the three Wise Men who travelled from the East.
Remember the small baby who lied there with the beasts.
God found it just and fitting to send Him here that way,
We all should then Remember animals of Christmas Day.

It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A favorite time of year.
It's Christmas.
It's Christmas.
A special time, so dear.
Can you hear me singing?
My heart sings out with joy.
For creatures and for mangers
and one small baby boy.
Sing with me this Christmas,
sing of hope and joy and love.
Sing as if you are an angel,
sent down from heaven above."
